Hack Away With Slice

Slice Wireless has the Hackathon resume for providing Wi-Fi to hackathons hosted by Google, NBA, and Yahoo through the past years. Our ability to come into a venue and deploy a Wireless system that will be able to deliver the necessary throughput and density of people/devices trumps others.

Why Slice?

Individual VLAN security…. The new implementation that allows for each individual device connecting to the network to have their own separate VLAN. This way users are assured a fair event with the exact same bandwidth and no individual network hogging. VLANs also deliver the most secure network in an event full of people who may be expert programmers and hackers themselves. We offer varying models of network deployments which are dependant on how each Hackathon would like to function.

Expected Cost

• Internet Connection: The option to have a dedicated internet connection for a hackathon is from 5k and can reach close to 10k for a three day production. If the Venue already has the necessary bandwidth there is only cost for the Wi-Fi equipment and set up.

• Equipment Cost: Dependant on coverage area of the event. Can be as low as $2000.

• Support: Onsite Support for Live Event ($75-150/hr).
